The Long Overdue Stream of Many Eyes Post!

Now that I am back from New Orleans, I have a quick moment to reflect on this whirlwind month!  Ugh!  Where to even begin?!

I arrived on Thursday and spent the day with Architects of Destruction honcho, Jamison Valerio.  He was kind enough to show me the lay of the Los Angeles land and brought a ton of his 3D terrain that I was to use in the games I was about to run!

I must admit that Los Angeles was an adventure in and of itself.  The traffic was bad, real bad, but I am a bit of a Sunday driver so I just sat back and enjoyed the scenery!

I was invited to the Stream of Many Eyes by Joe Manganiello who I have been talking to since last year.  When I asked him what time I should show up he said, “I think it starts around noon.”  Little did I know that noon was the time the performers and stage crew were supposed to show up!

I spent the next four hours getting in the way of pretty much everyone but to the crew’s credit, they laughed it off and encouraged me to keep exploring.  I was really nervous just showing up by myself but I was warmly welcomed by everyone.  For the next three days I gamed, feasted, barely slept, and met some of the most amazing people!

Without further delay, lets take a stroll through Waterdeep!

Friday Night, the first night of the stream, I ran a game for Michael Stagliano (of Tavern of Heroes), Christian McLane (also of ToH), Christoff Visscher (of Cantrip Candles), Dash Nye, and Kevin Leal.  These brave heroes play tested elements of Days of Blight Book 3!  Each of them were top notch roleplayers, employing an array of voices to immerse themselves in character.  It was a privilege to Dungeon Master for the group!  The day ended with me collapsing in my hotel room around midnight.  I was absolutely on cloud nine but little did I know that the best was yet to come.

Saturday at the stream started out much like the previous day.  I showed up early to Waterdeep and began to explore.  Only this day, many of the performers and crew had time to talk and I do love the sound of my own voice!  I am terrible with names but I want to try and thank as many people as I can.  So a big thank you goes out to Tyler Curtis, Nouralogical, Ed Greenwood, Liisa Lee, Solar Graye, Mephit Man, Neal Erickson, and so many others for being so warm and welcoming!

I could go on about all the good times but, as the saying goes,  a picture says a thousand words!  I am going to end the post halfway through Saturday, the second day of the stream.  My next blog will feature my game at Joe Manganiello’s gaming dungeon!

Happy Gaming All!  Talk to you soon!
